My rule of thumb is that when I outsource a task, I expect to get at least a 2x return on my money. So even if a $5 an hour worker takes twice as long to do sourcing research than I do (totaling $10), BUT frees up an hour of MY time to do tasks that have a higher ROI (like talking with brand owners, then I will happily pay $10 to free up my hour.
